back from taiwan and hong kong! ^^ actualy, i was jus goin blog "for fullest details about my trip, refer to my sis' blog", but i decided that's jus gonna show how lazy i am. so here goes (but don't get ur expectations too high cause i'm gonna blog only about stuff i rmb, which is actually nt alot. hahas)

so the first few days was at taiwan, and the remaining two days at hong kong. but honestly, i DOUBT my trip is anything lik 10 days. for one thing, i'm quite sure that almost 3 or 4 days were spent on travelling, whether it is by bus from one city to another or by (damn) plane from one country to another. almost wanted to puke on the plane (REALI REALI HATE travelling by planes.). felt sooooo uncomfortable that made me wish i had stayed at home instead. wonder if the travel sickness pills i took r fakes. =X

in taiwan, i was surprised to noe that it is actually 70% mountains! i should have known wat was in store when the next day was up ah li shan. the bus wind up and up the mountain. it was FREEZING mans. but before that i managed to sleep so i won't get car-sick. so anyway, the weather was nice there. cold, and i supposed my jacket wasn't thick cause' it felt lik the cold was jus seeping thru. it was quite boring there, with stones and plants looking lik sth (perhaps a heart shaped one, or a dragon, or three sisters, or brothers.... can't reali rmb.

(refer to pic: see wat i mean about being cold? hehe)

and we had super early lunch and had to wind back down mountain, with the tour guide warning us to "go to sleep or puke". thank goodness i didn't puke.
went to many many temples. hmm. come to think about it, most of the temples seem to be on the hills or mountains.

hahas i have lik scanned thru al the pics and posted thse that i dun look as horrible. so there.

so anw, after griping about having to sit on bus and planes, i've found my favourite mode of travel! it's by trains! ^^ at taiwan, there was this bullet train. hmm. it's supposed to move real fast, but i don't seem to see any diff. we sat on the railway train down some mountain too, and according to the tour guide, he said we were lucky ppl as the path back by mountain trail is enough to make even him throw up. so i thank my lucky stars for that, able to take another way by confortable rocking train. i can practically sleep, or do anything i lik. y can't al countries b linked by rail or bullet train so we can jus forget about planes? hahas..

there was also this memorial place where there are reali soldiers guarding, but it's stil a tourist attraction. according to the tour guide, the young men there often make girls lik me drool. -.- wel, luckily, i didn't find any exceptionally good looking ones. perhaps it's sth about their hair, ya noe, al covered by a helmet. i expect every1 to hav the same sianz crew cut anw. hahas.

can u c the soldiers marching in the bg? wel, they were marching to the entrance to change shift. cause' at the entrance two soldiers stand and cannot move for their shift. i can't rmb how long they need to stand, but anw, this changing procedure takes v long! lik20min jus to march a small distance! hahas

anw, speaking of guys, there are lik loads more shuai ge (code name SG) in taiwan and hong kong. my sis and i literally drooled our way there and back. hahas. and apparently, with the weather so cold, one can oh-so-dress-up-fashionably. they had on many layers, and somehow look nice. and i realise that boots can too look nice. ^^ and it was easy dinstinguishing tourists and locals. tourists had on usual sorta clothes, with jacket thrown over (except for these couple of sisters on our tour grp who looked reali stylish no matter wat they wore) and dishevelled (blah i duno how to spell) hair. or mayb that was jus me. =X hahas

oh, they chew betel nuts there too, at taiwan. at first i didn't noe wat it was called, and it seemed to me it was lik a drug, but it turned out to be some sorta fruit or seed thingy, that helps them be more energized. mostly it's the drivers, policemen that take this.

oh, the tour guide oso told us the reason for taiwan's miraculous economy growth (rmb taiwan's oso one of the 4 ASEAN tigers?). apparently back in those days, when the men were out working, and the women were at home. after these women finished their hsework, they went out to look for more jobs. so the factory workers hired these women who brought back their sewing, assembly or watever jobs to their living room. so yea, economy was at full emplyment, hence growth. hahas.

o anw, i think one of the reason y taiwan was more fun was because of the tour guide, steven. he reali is nt bad a tour guide. tels us stuff everywhere we go, and tries his best to make sure we enjoy our stay there. there he is on the furthest left. hahas
oh, i bought a pretty star sapphire for myself too! so pretty, and apparently it's supposed to be their special imports. nice! ^^ and i went to shuan4 my fengshui, and they told me i lack the metal element. so i bought this pi2 xiu2 that represents the metal element to balance it out. i'm oso of the earth type of person, who is jus too honest (meaning stupid) and stubborn. hmm. checked the elements on wikipedia and apparently it says rather similar stuff.. so anw, the person oso say i shld be doing jobs lik teaching or scientist. -.- gosh. and i shld stay away from business. mans. hmm.. career advice? or i shldn't be to superstitious. but i can tel u watever the person say was quite accurate. hmm..
ok wow i've been on the com for lik duno how long. sianz. feel so unaccomplished. blah. hates looking for job. and there's stil tons of things undone. lik packing my room. scanning peishan's notes. hmm. ok mayb i shld get off. this is a long boring entry. erms. didn't mean to get carried away. hahas i guess taiwan was fun, minus the plane trip. hahas
